The brain–body–environment connection

Our Philosophy

Autism is a lifelong difference, not something to cure. Our focus is helping autistic people feel well in their bodies and cope with daily demands.

Three systems

Three systems, one person

Brain

Sensory processing, stress and emotional regulation, and a nervous system that may spend a lot of time on high alert.

Body

Gut health, sleep, nutrition and immunity, which can affect mood, energy and how easy it is to stay regulated.

Environment

Routine, noise, light, people and demands. The right environment can reduce overload as much as anything else.

Wellbeing is whole-person. That is why we look at all three.

The gut–brain connection

Why the gut matters

The gut and brain talk constantly. When the gut is uncomfortable, sleep, mood and regulation often suffer, especially when pain is hard to put into words.

Comfort

Constipation, pain and reflux can show up as distress, poor sleep or behaviour changes.

Nutrition

A restricted diet can leave gaps in iron, vitamin D, omega-3 and fibre.

Sleep

Gut discomfort and nutrient gaps can both make sleep harder.

Stress

A nervous system on high alert slows digestion, and an upset gut adds to stress.

Three disciplines

How we work

Functional Medicine

Looking for what is driving gut, sleep and energy problems, and correcting it with nutrition and targeted support.

Functional Neurology

Understanding the nervous system's stress and sensory load, and supporting regulation.

Lifestyle Medicine

Sleep routines, food and daily structure that fit sensory needs and real family life.

We don't diagnose autism or replace specialist care. We work alongside your GP, paediatrician or specialist team, and never ask you to stop prescribed medication.

Close to home

This approach, close to home in North Wales

From our Llandudno clinic we see people from Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Bangor, Anglesey and North Wales, with online consultations across the UK. Online appointments can be easier for many autistic people, and the process is the same either way.
